concert was totally rocking!

With the news of our university starting a cricket league, we woke up with the excitement to register our cricket team of 8 players for an upcoming tournament. After the morning classes and such, I went out with friends to play some makeshift cricket just so we won't have any lame excuse that "i haven't played for 6 months/2 years" on the tourny day. It wasn't bad. It was good getting back to my sport. The tournament date is Oct. 7-8. Let's see how we fare till then in preparation of the tournament.

Other than that, there was a Penn Masala concert. It was amazing to have an evening out with such great 'intrumental singers'. Of course, with friends getting together, it couldn't get any better. After the concert, friends planned to have a night out at a Middle Eastern restaurant close by. Manan, of course, was the catalyst who has done quite a lot in the past as well. We actually got lost on our way to the restaurant because the supposed exit was closed due to contruction and we had to take a detour. On our way through the inner-localities of Dearborn, we really 'enjoyed' the surroundings and the environment on a friday night. oh and we also got to see two men chased by undercover police cops. Apparently, they ran into some house in the neighborhood and we didn't really wanna stop to witness the conclusion so off we went. Finally, after some real spearheaded struggle, we finally made it to the restaurant. it was a fun night and definitely good food which also served as sehri for me. well not exactly sehri but pre-sehri. whatever that meant. when we got back we were extremely tired and ready to go to bed but me n sohaib decided to stay up till fajr n then go to bed.

all in all it was an exciting friday that will always have us marking our travel routes around metro detroit area.
