Honesty in sight?
Like the recent saga of musical-chair-captaincy wasn't enough already that Pakistan had to suffer from another setback when they had to see off their opening bowlers back home. Whatever the speculations are and whoever is guilty, let's just wait for the results and see what turns out.
Other than that, my two cents on this issue is that if both the players, namely Asif and Akhtar, are charged of doping intentionally; they must face serious bans and should not be let go of it like Warne did three years ago. Warne basically faced a year ban after having it reduced to two with the aid if his lawyers but it should not get away like that. There weren't many rules implemented about drug tests earlier but since now they are, it should be taken seriously. People committed of violation should be penalized so they become an example for potential future violators. This just annoys me because the image of an athlete not this. It's just not this. They say everything is fair and love and war and same applied to sports which I totally agree with but these violations should be dealt with strictly because this is just being dishonest. This is just hurting the image of an athlete. This hasn't happened in cricket since the rules have been applied except the Warne case. It should not be repeated. Cricket was generally clear of such controversies but it seems like evil is out there to destroy all the gentlemanship in cricket.
Pakistan Cricket Board has done the right thing by calling players in question. If proven guilty, they should be given enough reprimands that not only they learn from their blunder, it also becomes an example for future cricketers. If proven innocent, matters should be explained to belittle the misconceptions and misunderstandings so the players can get back their image back which is in danger because of this accusation as of now.

Hey man! Long time.
The past couple months have been pretty rough for Pakistan cricket.
I'm very disappointed with the news from yesterday. I really wanted to see Asif and Akhtar gel together...they could have been the 2As to replace the 2Ws.
I'm also pissed off at the PCB and the way they've handled the situation. Yeah doping is a serious thing, but since this was not conducted by the ICC, the PCB could have not made such a big deal out of it by annoncing a press conference a few hours before the team's first match in a major tournament!
Simply send the guys home, and keep the news within the team. Then after the tournament they could have explained everything.
Because the dope test wasn't conducted by the ICC it's up to the PCB to decide the punishment, so I think we'll see Asif and Akhtar back before the World Cup. OOur team needs them to have any hope of winning.
Right now I'm on cricinfo following the live commentary...Razzaq and Malik just finished the match off in style! Way to bounce back boys!
